About Me

Scrapping the Past, Present and Future

I am a graphic designer, creating digital art for scrapbooking. As an avid genealogist, my goal is to help others get their family research out of the filing cabinet, and into the hands of their family. Heritage Albums are the most visually pleasing way that I have found to document the past. Much of my art is created with Heritage Scrapbooks in mind.

I love to teach others how to make Heritage Albums, and have created a system to help genealogists organize the details of a person's life into an album called a Life Book (TM). Check my site for details of how to join in.

In addition to my love for genealogy and family history, I am the mother of several children (#9 is due in October!) so I love scrapping their day to day lives. Already, they enjoy getting their scrapbooks out and reading about themselves. It is so important to scrap the present, so our children have a record of their childhood.

How often have I wished that my ancestors had left us scrapbooks that detailed their lives. I often wonder what life was like for them and what they did on an average day. That's why I encourage you to make a scrapbook of your current situation to leave for those who come after us - that is what future scrapping is.

These three parts; past, present and future - are what scrapbooking is all about. It gives us a clear picture of how we fit in. It teaches us where we came from, where we are, and where we are going. I would be honored to walk with you on your scrapping journey!
